The Light!

Today I was driving in the early hours and noticed a bright light up in the sky as I turned to the left I realized it was the moon. No matter what road I was on, whether it was the highway, back roads, up & down the hills through the whiny roads the moon was still there. The sky was crystal clear and the moon and stars were so vibrant. You can see the moon shined in the sky for billions of miles.
I noticed that we have a lake behind a group of houses by where I live that I never seen in the years that I lived here. The reflection of the moon and stars on the water was really bright and it shined brightly between the homes. It is amazing how little light in the mist of darkness can reveal things that we in darkness would otherwise never have seen.
I started thinking of a scripture that I had read a few days earlier found in Matt 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
It is amazing how God positioned the moon high above the earth to reflex over the waters and the land we stand on, so that we can one see his glory in space and on earth. If your lamp doesn't help others see it is useless. How is it useless you might ask?
1) Being quiet & not explaining our light to others
2) Going along with the crowd & forgetting who you are in Christ
3) Denying the light which is Christ
4) Allowing sin dim your light
5) Ignoring the needs of others & focusing only on your need.
I have chosen lead a life that will continue on through many generations so they can continue to pass on the light. Let’s be like the moon that shines brightly in space for billions of miles and allow our reflection to bring light of Christ to others.
