Aches & Pain

Today I am feeling the pain of my Zumba workout and feel like I can't move I just want to sit and not do anything. But of course I need to go to work and get my to do list done before the end of the day.

Sometimes life can bring lots of aches and pain that make you not want to move and just stay still so that we no longer feel the pain. We need to learn how to take those aches and pains and turn it into purpose. The word of God says "But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5) Let's turn our pain into purpose by getting up through the pain and say "I must go forward and get my to do list done" The meaning of purpose is to resolve (to do something): (He purposed to change his way of life radically.) As time goes by you will no longer feel the aches and pain. You will be stronger and your pain will only be but a memory.

Let's Get Ready To Rumbbbbbble!!!

I got my car back yesterday and I feel like I am back on track. Today I feel great well rested and now I am watching the kids run around crazed because they are late for school. LOL This weekend was stressful with the car situation and I am glad it’s over for now. Life is not always peachy but I love that fact that I can count on my God who can bring me out of things.

I have to say that at times I have found myself in many situations that I could not believe I was in but, I never went down. I had to and still have to fight my way out of things by speaking the word into existence not always easy but worth it. I think it’s the New Yorker in me. (LOL) In Col. 1:11-12 “Who through faith and patience [endurance] inherit the promises” Endurance means the ability or power to bear prolonged exertion, pain, or hardship and the survival or persistence of something despite the ravages of time. God will bring you up through the gutter if he has too but he won’t leave you alone.

1. God Chosen-When are called by God no great difficulty, circumstances, and no approval from man is needed. You see in Judges 4-5 in a male dominated society Deborah was the fourth and only female judge of Israel. God chooses leaders by his standards not ours.

2. God Plan “He who began a good work in you is able to complete it” Phil 1:6 If he started the work in us he will finish it whether that be with or without troubles. God can bring you out of your troubles and turn them for good. He can take every experience both positive and negative and work it out for you or for others. Romans 8:28

3. God Timing- Let’s look at David, a chosen man but he did not become a leader until thirty. He was a Sheppard boy and no one paid them any mind so he did not have a great support system training him up into kingship. Look at Joseph he had a dream and he too knew that God had chosen him but his brothers sold him and suffered prior to being a leader.

When you are up to your neck in problems and the enemy is saying “You won’t make it” fight it by standing on his promises and declare victory. You see God calls man, he decides the plan, and he knows when those plans will take place. So don't let your circumstances determine your future. You must fight to get your destiny and fight to hold on to it. Endurance is my silent fighter which I master everyday more and more.

Live Life

Good morning all! It is Monday morning already. I feel like I just started the weekend and it is already over. LOL Well rather than having the "Oh It's Monday Morning" sluggish attitude I decided to just try and enjoy and be grateful for what God has given me.

Its funny but we tend to complain about everything in life. We complain about the day of the week, the bills, the jobs, our boss, etc... If you think about it people spend more time complaining rather than living a full life. Don't get me wrong I too have fallen into this category. LOL

If we spend our time looking at the positive rather than the negative we would live a joyful life. I know because many bumps have come my way but with that blessings have come. You see if I focus on the bad and feel life is not easy then I'd live a completely unhappy live. I have to to look at things different even though at times its not easy to look at the bright side. These are a few things I've done to help me.
  1. Mediate On Gods Word- I have found that mediating has given me a sound mind. At times when your doing so much its hard to think during the day because your so tired and its hard to sleep because your brain is running a mile a minute.
  2. Say No To More Work- I try to not add more to my plate than I have to and I have found that it has brought balance to the already overwhelming and overbooked live I lead.
  3. Stop worrying about the future and focus on the present- I try not to worry about the future and rather live in the present. Worrying about things that are not presently there can bring more to you and its not healthy.
  4. Exercise- I have found that exercise is not only healthy for you but it brings life to your mind and body. All the stress is released while exercising and your brain is full of oxygen and helps you think better. You feel as if your on top of the world after your done exercising. LOL
For me these four have been a daily practice. When you get frustrated, just take a deep breath. When you ask yourself, “What should I do now, Self?”, the answer is “keep practicing”.

“When you drive around the city and come to a red light or a stop sign, you can just sit back and make use of these twenty or thirty seconds to relax — to breathe in, breathe out, and enjoy arriving in the present moment. There are many things like that we can do.” - Thich Nhat Hanh

Peace In The Storm

Yesterday was another great day I celebrated my nephews birthday. We had a blast we ate and just laughed at Applebee's. On our way home my family decided to go and get a movie to finish the evening by the TV. Well that was fun.

We got out of blockbusters and oh my our car decided not to start. The starter on the only car we own decided to go. It was pouring rain with 50 mile winds and it was COLD. That was a nightmare with two teens and a 7 year old in the car. One was cold, the other was hungry and so on. After several hours with the help of family we got home.

I got up this morning and everything came to a complete realization. I had no car OMG!!!!!!!!! What was I to do? If any one has read my story you would know that we have gone through many trials. My first instinct is to SCREAM and CRY. When troubles come your way we tend to start with "I can't believe this is happening to me" and we start whining. Why? Why me?

I decided to just go and be alone with God and I started reading about David in 2 Samuel 23. God brought me to this story and he showed how God loved David. In Acts 13:22 it says "I found David.... a man after My own heart" I thought about that. God had revealed to me right there that David suffered. During his life his son raped his daughter, one son killed another, his wife turned his back on him, his best friend betrayed him, they took his kingdom, they tried to kill him, and he spent a lot of time hiding in the caves. Yet with all this he ran to God always and God gave him a strength to go on. David although he suffered greatly was an anointed man, a man chosen by God.

My oh my these words really hit me hard. I started thinking of my life and all that I have suffered yet I know that God still loves me and that He has a plan for my life. The word says "For I know the plans I have for you". I began crying and placing all my cares in the palms of his hands and giving glory to him. Although my troubles are not totally resolved I know that he made an agreement with me, a covenant with me and my family . It was guaranteed when he died for me and my family. He promises safety and success. I must stand on his word when I can't do anything else and begin to rejoice and mediate on the promises of God. This is why today I can stand and I refuse to settle for less because he brings such joy in the middle of my long suffering.

I Am Complete Only When...

Since my last post I was unable to write. I had no words to express because I have been overwhelmed with daily struggles. I had become frustrated and could not bring myself to get over my issue. I was on my way out the door at 4am this morning taking taking my hubby to work and once again became overwhelmed with tremendously horrible smell and found out that it was coming from our furnace. I began to pray and just asked the Lord to please carry me cause I can't seem to do this any longer. Life can get to be so frustrating but Jesus appeals to those who experience life as one unending chore. He offers rest and refreshment. His yoke is easy, he says.
Matthew 11:25-30
At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26yes, Father, for such was your gracious will." 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyoneto whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 Come to me, all who labor and are"heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
